She stepped towards the forested area, making a beeline for Barlin. She glanced back at the house and sighed quietly as she pulled the hood of her cloak up over her head. She turned around her eyes bright with thrill as she began to jog towards Death's house. After a half hours jog, she finally reached the gate of the Soul Reaper's house. She smoothly walked into the yard, making it appear like she owned the property. She silently creaked the door open following her original path up the stairs straight into deaths Bedroom. She stood in the doorway with a smug look on her face. Death looked up at first with shock but it quickly turned into anger.

"How dare you walk into my house like you own it!" He stepped towards her. "This is the last time I'll ask you this. Leave my home immediately!" Illuson continued to watch him for a minute more and then she laughed. Death was feeling irked that this little girl could just come into his house and then laugh at him.

"Bring me to Lucifer, I wish to talk to him." She said crudely. "I want to have that dagger. If I am royalty to him then I can have that dagger if I please." Death looked at her surprised, he heard the devil's laugh enter his mind.

"Come this way." He said as the gates of hell opened once again out of his wall. They slowly entered the deep caverns of the underworld. As she heard the screams of pain she no longer felt afraid. She crossed her arms over her chest as she followed him, head held high. They eventually reached the doors of Satan's throne. They entered quickly walking down the deep light guided hall.

"Welcome back. I believe it is time to reveal something to you. You are my daughter." She looked up at him dumbfounded.

"I don't believe you." She said sternly.

"I have no way of proving it to you, your mother died along time ago. But you must believe me it is true." Disbelief, anger, and hatred filled her mind as she contemplated what he had just said. She stomped on the floor out of rage.

"There must be some way to prove it." She said louder than she intended. She looked back at Death then over at Lucifer. Her face was showing mixed emotions. If he really was her father then what did he know about her?

"I'm afraid there is no way of proving to you, besides my word" He said passionately. She was timid to accept such a claim.

"That is not proof." He looked at her shocked by her words.

"I swear to you, I would not lie about that. You must believe me." She looked to him

"Why must I believe you?"

“I cannot tell you yet." Lucifer said with sympathy. "I'm truly sorry, but this is not something that should be rushed into a young person's mind."

"Tell me now!" She said aggressively. Lucifer looked taken aback and cleared his throat.

"I cannot." He said calmly. Illuson wrinkled her nose and stormed out of the room, past Death. After a moment or two she realized why she came into hell in the first place. She walked aggressively back.

"Let me have the dagger, I will keep it in a safe place. I promise." She said respectfully. Lucifer looked at her in awe, then he glanced towards the Soul Reaper. He put a lot of thought on giving it to her. He finally began to speak.

"I shall give it to you, I want to see what you will do with that much power in your hands.” He warped the dagger into Illuson's hands, teleporting both of the back to the Death's room, and closing the gate. She looked down at the dagger for a minute and then put it into her belt. She looked up at Death with apprehension

"Why does he think we're related? I see no resemblance." She muttered.

"That is a mask he wears. His true form is much more hideous." He said with a smirk.

"He has the power to influence everything in the known universe. He made it so you looked like an elf, not anything like him."

"What happened to his original form?" She asked curiously.

“Time made his body decay, which then made it adapt to his environment." He said lowering his head.

"Do you have a true form?" She asked very interesting in transformation. She had heard such tales of shape shifting, but has never seen a real shifter until she met death.

"Yes I do." He said.

"Can I see it?" She asked impatiently.

"You are not ready for such things. We'll you know have what you want, I suppose I will be seeing you." He replied being overly kind. She sighed and muttered under her breath

"You can count on it." She crossed his room then wandered down the stairs and out the front door. She took the dagger out of her belt and stared at it.

"So he just gives me this with his word that I’m his relation." She shook her head and put the blade back in its sheath. When she was walking down the street, she decided to go back to Mizu's and Sagirus's home. Walking back through the forest all the way to their home. Mizu was sitting on the steps up to the door. She looked relieved when she saw the familiar dark blue cloak and red hair. Illuson soon was there next to Mizu, answering her questions with slight irritation.

"So you got the dagger back?" Illuson nodded. "Did you have to see Lucifer to get it?" Illuson nodded again and began to climb up the stairs. She walked into the house, shrugging off her cloak and putting it on a hook in the front hall. Mizu was following behind her closely. “ Well, come to the kitchen and tell us all about it.” Sagirus looked out from the kitchen and gave a relieved smile. “Illuson, its good to see you alive and well.” He said calmly as he reached out to gently take her arm and steer her into the kitchen.  She pulled away from him.

“ Do you have a room where I can sleep for the night?” She said hastily. Her brain was still swimming with the things Lucifer had told her. Mizu nodded slowly and guided her to the room across from hers and Sagirus’s room. Illuson sat down upon the bed and nodded to Mizu, giving her, her thanks. Mizu sighed slightly; disappointed that she couldn’t hear what Illuson had gone through right this second. She pulled the door closed behind her and walked out to the kitchen where Sagirus was making more tea.

“Maybe we should just let her sleep.” He said, slightly worried. “She has had a trying day.” Mizu nodded in agreement. “More trying than usual.” She said with a weak smile, being reminded of what Illuson did for a living. Sagirus chuckled slightly and put a mug of tea on the table for Mizu and another one for himself.

Illuson lay down on the bed and sighed as she stared up at the ceiling. She had millions of questions running through her mind. ‘ Was she really Lucifer’s daughter? If so why couldn't he prove it? Why did he give her the dagger? Just to have fun watching her get obsessed over its powers? What kind of father would do that?’ She groaned and rolled over. She tried to close her eyes and fall asleep but the sandman didn't seem to want to come.

After hours of tossing and turning, she finally decided to stay up. She slowly crept done stairs making sure to make as little noise as possible. When she reached the bottom of the stairs she went into the kitchen to see if there was any tea on for morning.

She seen there was none and started to boil some water, and get the tea bags ready. Sagirus wandered down the stairs and looked into the kitchen.

"What are you doing up so early?" He asked sleepily. Illuson jumped at his voice and dropped the kettle. She leapt backwards to avoid the hot water getting on her toes and bumped into the table, knocking a teacup on the floor.

She looked shocked at the mess and immediately started to clean it up. Sagirus follows her actions. Once the cup was disposed of and the water mobbed up, Sagirus started to set up some more water.

"I'm sorry, I haven't gotten any sleep, and my reflexes must be slow right now." He looked at her with a grin." We are allowed to make mistakes, there's no better way of learning.

She rubbed her eyes and sat down on one of the chairs. "Yeah.. That’s true." She said, putting her chin on her palm. "So why are you up?" She asked him, stiffening a yawn.

"I haven't got much sleep since you came back. Mizu and I are quite worried about you." He said putting his hand on her hand.

"You are going to end in danger one of these days at the rate you going. You may even be taken from this plane."

She looked up at him and smiled. "I will be all right." he took is hand away.

"You have been saying that, but it is hard to believe you, when you are talking about dealing with the devil."

She laughed slightly "Lucifer said I was royalty right? He even gave me the dagger." She left out the part about him saying she was his daughter. "I don't see anything to worry about." She said with a kind smile.

"I really hope you are right." He said, as he heard the teakettle makes its sound. He got up and started to pour each of them their drinks.

She took the mug and sipped the tea slowly. The heat of it didn't seem to bother her, when she put the cup down she had almost drained the liquid. She smiled slightly at Sagirus "Its good that Mizu and you are worried about me... but you don't have to be," She drank the last of the hot tea. "I can take care of myself."

" We know that, we have just grown so close through the last eight years that you are like a daughter to us." He said with a grin as he took a drink of his herbilized tea.

She smiled slightly and closed her eyes, laying her cheek on her fingertips. She felt suddenly drowsy; maybe it was the effects of the tea? She yawned and covered her mouth with her free hand "I guess I’m getting tired.." She said out loud as she rose from her chair.

She slowly walked up the stairs and into the guest room. When she reached the bed she fell instantly passing out once she hit.

Odd dreams entered her mind. In fact they didn't feel like dreams at all, more like memories. She turned over in her sleep and rolled into a ball.

She remembered her mother. She was a beautiful elf in Illuson's opinion, with long dark red hair like her own. She smiled fondly in her sleep for a moment and then she remembered a man. She tried to get a better picture of him but Mizu was by her side, shaking her awake.

Illuson looked up in surprise, trying to gather were she was. When she said Mizu it all came back to her.

"Hello." Illuson said graciously.

"Hello, how are you feeling" Mizu asked with a concerning tone.

"What do you mean?"

"Sagirus said you didn't look to well when you walked up the stairs, and that was nearly 10 hours ago. I just thought something might be wrong."

She sat up bolt in bed "Ten hours ago?!" She pulled the sheets off of her and went to move past Mizu. She reeled and put a hand against the wall for balance.

Mizu got up instinctively to grab her, but Illuson had it under control. "There is some dinner downstairs if you'd like some.

" Mizu revealed as she proceeded down the stairs into the dining room.

Illuson sighed and wondered why she had slept in so late. She glanced at the clock then took her cloak from the chair in the room. She wrapped it around her shoulders then wandered down the stairs.
She started to get a massive headache as she reached the bottom of the stairs. I surged rushed through her body sending her to the ground

She saw her mother there, the man turned around this time, showing his face. It was Lucifer, the lord of hell. Her mind was oozing with images of him and her mother together. Her own birth went through her mind. Her mind quickly went to her mother’s house. She saw her mother sitting her a chair with her in her mother’s arms. She seen men come into the door, with swords drawn. A small man then entered, He looked very rich, like a prince of a king. He pointed to her mother, as the men charged after her. He grabbed Illuson into his arms and left the room with her, the guards killed her mother. Burning the house as they left.

Her eyes flicked open and she was staring at the ceiling of her room. Her mind went over what she had seen.

"...What the." She rolled over and buried her face in the pillow. Her head was spinning as she closed her eyes. She heard footsteps coming up the stairs and groaned slightly.

It was Mizu, with a hot towel in her hand. " Here this will help the swelling."

She dabbed the towel on Illuson's forehead, making sure not to use too much pressure.

Illuson winced slightly and muttered, "What happened?" She put a hand to her forehead, touching the cloth lightly.
"You just feel to the ground. I not sure what caused it, but you will be fine." Mizu said smiling as she continued to dabbed the towel on her head. "I had a weird dream." Illuson said have asleep.

Mizu looked at her with curiosity.
"A dream? Do you want to talk about it?" She asked kindly. Illuson glanced up at her and then closed her eyes again.
"My mother.. And my father." She muttered.
She looked at Illuson surprised. "Who is your father?" she asked curiously.
Illuson glanced up at her. "Lucifer" she said under her breath.
"What are you going to do now?" Mizu asked concerned.
"I guess I will have to go back to hell, to speak with my father. See what he wanted from me before." She said rising to her feet, dressing herself in her cloak and rushing out the door.

She thought she had heard Mizu shout at her but she brushed it off. It was pitch dark as she traveled to Death's house. The darkness didn't bother her but the fact she might get some answers made her shiver. She ran until she got to the edge of Barlin and slowed down to catch her breath.
She looked around for a minute then slipped into the alleyway, taking it as a short cut to the house. She swore under her breath as she noticed a wall in between her and her destination. She backed up slightly and took a running leap at it. Grabbing the top edge she pulled herself up and vaulted over, landing quietly on the other side.
As she slowly crept into deaths yard she noticed his bedroom window open, there were a few candles pressing light out of the window, she had an odd thought, she wondered if she could jump in through the window. She stepped backwards a few steps rushing forward, hurling herself into the air. She barely made it through the window.
Death stared at her confusingly. "What do you want now?"
"Bring me to my father."
"Oh, so you have accepted the truth, right this way."
The gate to hell opened in death's wall.

She had gotten use to the gate being opened and stood there expectantly. Once it had fully opened she didn't bother for Death to lead but went in first. She walked the path she has seen twice before and had committed to memory. The screams didn't even bother her anymore as she expected them.
They got closer to the throne, through the dark hallway.
A familiar voice came calling out. "Hello once again my dearest daughter. Now I believe it is time to reveal to you all the secrets I been keeping. First, you are immortal, you have very unique powers, and you just need to tap into them. Also, it is my time to be called up to heaven.

She looked at him with indignation and stepped backwards away from him. Her mind was becoming quite crowded with all this new information and it was making her confused.

“ What do you mean I'm immortal? I've broken bones; I've gotten cuts on me. If I was immortal wouldn't I be impervious to those?!” She said, as her voice grew louder as she spoke.
“  Somehow I highly doubt I have any sort of powers except for my ability to steal anything within my grasp.” Her fingers touched the blade at her belt lightly in reminder to herself. “And finally if you are the "Lord of Hell" as you say, why would you of all people get accepted into Heaven?! Maybe I don’t even want to be the Lady of Hell!” She shouted at him furiously as she turned quickly and walked out of the throne room.  Death appeared in front of her.

"You were born for the soul purpose to take your fathers place. You cannot leave now." She looked at him.

"I didn't ask for this! I have my life, this isn't it."

"Come with me Illuson, Your father has more he would like to say." Illuson followed death through the room and towards the lord of Hell.

"The only reason I’m getting into heaven." Lucifer said sternly. "Is because I changed my attitude towards things, many centuries in hell can make a creature quite humble." Illuson looked up at him in fury.

"I shall not take your place. I'm leaving!" Illuson said, storming out of the kingdom once again. This time two of Lucifer's guards appeared in front of her.

"If you decline the lords offer, you will be imprisoned for all time. Make your decision quick." She laughed loudly.

"You would throw your own daughter in prison? What kind of a man are you?" She scowled at Lucifer then turned to the guards. "Fine, make me your prisoner.. I've escaped from jails before." She said with smirk. Lucifer chilling voice echoed through out the room.

"You cannot escape this one my dear, not even an immortal can escape." She looked back with a frown.

"You will pay for this." She bowed and followed the guards down the hall towards the prison area. Once they got down there they opened the door and shoved her in there.

" What a child." One of the two guards said. They left leaving Illuson all alone. She sat down in her cell and muttered mockingly

"What a child..." She got up and began looking around " I'm no child.. I could escape if I wanted to." She ran her fingers over the walls and floor and even the sections of the ceiling she could reach on her toes. She was looking for a weak spot, anything that could allow her access to the outside world.
The truth will set her free.
